Bio
Annette Dashofy is the USA Today best-selling author of eighteen mystery/thriller novels including the Zoe Chambers mystery series about a paramedic and deputy coroner in rural Pennsylvania’s tight-knit Vance Township; and the Detective Honeywell Mysteries set in Erie, PA, and featuring an Erie City Detective. Eight of her books have been Agatha Award finalists, including The Devil Comes Calling, nominated for Best Contemporary Novel of 2025. Her standalone, DEATH BY EQUINE, set in the world of Thoroughbred racing, won the 2021 Dr. Tony Ryan Book Award. Annette’s short fiction includes a 2007 Derringer Award nominee. She is represented by Paula Munier and Talcott Notch Literary.
Annette is the current vice-president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Sisters in Crime and serves as a board member of Pennwriter. She received Pennwriters' 2013 recipient of the Meritorious Service Award and was their Saturday keynote speaker at the 2017 Pennwriters Conference.
Malice Domestic has named Annette their 2026 Guest of Honor.
Annette and her husband live on part of what used to be her grandfather’s dairy farm in southwestern Pennsylvania with one very spoiled cat, Kensi. ​
